Clay Tablet and MyMemory make it simpler and easier to localize content
The world’s largest collaborative translation memory can now be accessed from any CMS using Clay Tablet’s integration platform.
Toronto November 30, 2009: Today, Clay Tablet Technologies announced the integration of its Clay Tablet 2.5 connectivity platform with MyMemory, a linguistic search engine that, with more than 210 million professionally translated sentences, is the largest collaborative translation archive in the world.
The objective is simple: everything that has already been translated doesn't have to be translated again. By integrating their CMS with MyMemory, only content that is not in a client’s Translation memory or MyMemory will incur new translation costs. With over 210 Million translated sentences in My Memory, translation costs for many clients will be dramatically reduced.
Clay Tablet 2.5 is a connectivity platform that connects any CMS to translation vendors such as Translated. Once connected, Clay Tablet 2.5 transfers the contents of corporate databases, CMS’s etc, directly to translation vendors such as Translated and vice versa, freeing companies from worrying about where, and above all, how, to send the contents of their sites for translation. Clay Tablet is especially useful for those companies who are accustomed to manually sending large volumes of content to be translated, spending a great deal of time to organize, export and re-import content.
With Clay Tablet, users just click on "send for translation" from within their CMS and the CT2.5 automatically forwards content for translation and automatically re-imports translated content without the developer or project manager intervention. Clay Tablet already connects to CMSs, and in addition to Translated's professionallinguistic services, such as the Translated HTS (Human Translation Server http://www.translated.net/en/hts.php), it is now possible to achieve automatic translations with MyMemory, lowering costs while providing translators with more suggestions.
