Sitecore Simplifies Multilingual Content Management for Global Expansion Strategies
Sitecore CMS and Clay Tablet Connectivity Software Automate Translation Processes to Accelerate and Improve Marketing and Sales Results
Boston, Massachusetts, USA – December 2, 2010 – Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced at Gilbane Conference that it is collaborating with partner, Clay Tablet Technologies, to help companies more easily automate workflows associated with creating, managing, and publishing multilingual Web content to compete, engage and grow revenues in global markets.
Many organizations want to enter new markets, establish credibility and demonstrate local market awareness as a means towards increased business. A frequent concern is that localizing websites to these worldwide markets is a critical part of this expansion, but difficult to accomplish. “Organizations continue to struggle with manual translation processes that create inefficiencies when translating large volumes of content and they are seeking faster translation turn-around times to expand new markets and compete on a global level,” said Robinson Kelly, CEO and co-founder, Clay Tablet. “Seventy-five percent of Internet users don’t speak English, therefore your Web content needs to speak to these audiences in their native languages.”
Building on the established success of both companies in providing globalization solutions, Clay Tablet’s translation connectivity software connects Sitecore’s CMS to any translation provider, system or technology; giving customers the freedom to work with the translation provider of their choice. The software provides an intuitive user interface within the Content Editor or Page Editor to automate the process of translating individual items or large volumes of content quickly and efficiently; status monitoring helps users keep track of outcomes.
Clay Tablet’s plug-in allows content editors, localization managers and project managers to select and instantly send any Web content out for translation from within the Sitecore interface. Once content is translated using a traditional translation provider, content is automatically fed back into the CMS. Customers including Laureate International Universities, Skygolf, Smart Technologies, Stokke and Thule USA are experiencing at least a 60 percent reduction in translation management time.
“Conducting business on a global scale means having a seamless strategy for globalizing Web content,” said Darren Guarnaccia, senior vice president of product marketing at Sitecore. “Companies need to improve processes that enhance multilingual communications and response. With this integration, companies are able to quickly localize content and promotions – enabling more opportunities to increase brand awareness and sales revenue.”
Clay Tablet and Sitecore will be exhibiting at Gilbane Conference Boston. Attendees and other members of the community can join the globalization conversation and follow @Sitecore on Twitter with the #gilbaneboston hashtag.
