The Content Translation Process
Clay Tablet 2.5 makes the process of translating content easier and faster by integrating content management systems with translation systems.
Translation service providers are finding it increasingly difficult to connect and integrate their translation software systems to the diverse range of content management systems their clients may have. Clay Tablet 2.5 solves this growing translation industry problem with its unique translation integration software solution.
The Manual Past
In a typical enterprise today, most content is sent out for translation using very little technology. This is because most content management systems often require some extra effort by a technical resource to extract the content from a system, in preparation for translation. In other cases, content editors have to manually cut and paste content out of editing screens in order to send it off for translation.
Then a localization manager selects an appropriate translation service provider or agency, organizes content into bundles suitable for each translation provider, and finally ensures that the content gets sent out and arrives at the appropriate translation provider. This tedious, repetitive and manual process is the day-to-day reality for thousands of enterprise-sized companies worldwide.
The Integrated Future
With Clay Tablet 2.5, the solution is totally integrated and automated.
The content manager can simply flag content requiring translation directly inside the CMS. Clay Tablet 2.5 takes over from there. Content is sent directly from the CMS through to Clay Tablet 2.5’s integration software, where it is then routed to the correct translation provider or translation technology vendor. The client can also control and direct the resources or technologies used based on the client’s defined routing rules.
Routing criteria can include a variety of variables, such as language pairs, content type (marketing, technical, medical, etc.), file type (Quark, HTML, XML, etc.), or even combinations of all of these variables. Since Clay Tablet 2.5 doesn’t have to manipulate the files, it is capable of handling any type of content, in any format, from any type of content management system to any translation system.
On the translation technology end, Clay Tablet 2.5 integrates directly with the leading translation management systems, as well as other transformation technologies like machine translation, PDF converters, etc.
Clay Tablet 2.5 streamlines the flow of just about any kind of content for translation, no matter the source or destination, making the translation process more efficient, faster and economical.
